A few days after its global unveiling of the P20 and P20 Pro last month, Huawei teased the India launch of the phones on its official website. Now, Huawei India has begun teasing the launch of the P20 via its twitter account which suggests the launch could happen soon. The teaser has a short motion video of colourful lines shaped as a DSLR initially and then converting into a phone. Huawei has tweeted with the hashtag #HuaweiP20 and #SeeMooore suggesting both the P20 and P20 Pro are set to launch soon. The P20 Pro, in particular, highlights a vertically placed triple camera setup, a first for any phone. Huawei launching the P20 will come as a delight for fans in India seeing as how the last flagship from the company was the P9 that launched in India two years ago. As of now, there is no official date set for the P20 launch in India, but sources close to GSMArena say that the company may announce the phones some time during the last week of April. There is also no word on the Indian pricing as well.Is it a phone Is it a DSLR It is the best of both worlds! #SeeMooore #HuaweiP20 pic.twitter.com/GfrZATMstBHuawei India (@HuaweiIndia) April 13, 2018Based on their international pricing, both the P20 phones will come with a premium price tag. The P20 has gone on sale at EUR 649 (approx Rs 52,300) while the P20 Pro comes with a super premium price tag of EUR 899 (approx Rs 72,300). We expect the prices in India to be a little more competitive, but still on the higher end of the spectrum. To recall, the P9 was launched in India at Rs 39,999, and we expect the P20 to be priced a few notches higher. We will have to wait and see if Huawei can once again attract consumers after the brief hiatus.advertisementHuawei P20 and P20 Pro specificationsThe P20 Pro is Huawei’s star flagship as it brings a triple rear camera setup which includes a whopping 40-megapixel sensor.
