New Portfolio of Inspiron PCs Include Powerful AMD Ryzen

first_imgReaction to our previous systems with Ryzen has been good. Our first offering using these chips was the Inspiron 17 5000, which Digital Trends wrote about last month:“…the Dell Inspiron 17 will provide a good platform for entry-level gaming, able to run some older titles at 1080p as long as you turn down the graphics detail and to run less-demanding recent titles like eSports and the like. At the same time, the notebook should provide better performance in creative apps like image and video editing than you’ll get with machines that rely solely on Intel’s integrated GPU.”Ryzen was also noted by FastCompany as one of the reasons they selected AMD as one of their “World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018.” As we continue to invest in PC innovation here at Dell, we’re excited to work with partners who share that vision. Poland to let more prisoners serve sentences at home amid coronavirus

first_img“We propose raising the upper limit of a sentence or the total length of sentences which can be served in the electronic supervision system to 18 months,” the justice ministry said in a statement.Until now it was possible for sentences of up to a year. The ministry said nearly 5,000 prisoners were serving their sentences under electronic surveillance and 9,000 more qualify for it. After the changes, around 12,000 convicts who are not yet serving their sentences at home could qualify.Private radio RMF had earlier quoted Justice Ministry estimates that nearly 20,000 prisoners could benefit and said that older people sentenced to up to three years in prison could ask for a suspension of their term until the epidemic is over. Topics : Denying this, the ministry said it would be possible only “in exceptional cases”.Prisons have already banned visits and stopped letting most inmates work outside prison. Workshops in several prisons have started sewing protective masks and suits used in the fight against the coronavirus, the Justice Ministry said.It was not clear when the draft proposals might become law. There are more than 75,000 people held in 172 Polish prisons and detention centers.center_img Poland plans to extend a program under which some prisoners are allowed to serve their sentences at home to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. The justice ministry said its proposal could benefit up to 12,000 convicts who until now have not taken part in the program, under which prisoners are kept under electronic supervision.Poland has reported 692 coronavirus cases, including eight deaths form the virus. Photo: Steve PohlnerA report released by property analyst, RiskWise Property Review, identified the top 10 locations Australia-wide where off-the-plan (OTP) unit investment was deemed most risky.RiskWise founder, Doron Peleg, said there were 300,000 units planned for completion in the next two years across the nation.More from newsMould, age, not enough to stop 17 bidders fighting for this home4 hours agoBuyers ‘crazy’ not to take govt freebies, says 28-yr-old investor4 hours ago“Overall, the vast majority of current OTP properties are in high risk areas.”RiskWise analysed as to where new units comprised the high proportion of total units. The analysis showed that as a percentage of the total unit pool, new unit numbers in Brisbane City (34.5 per cent), Fortitude Valley (63.4 per cent), South Brisbane (91.3 per cent) and Chermside (57.9 per cent) make them among the 10 most risky Australian locations for buying OTP apartments.Mr Peleg said despite Brisbane having areas with the right fundamentals for investment, buyers of new product should consider detached houses rather than apartments.“However, in Brisbane, while there was a small number of suburbs where OTP units have the potential to deliver a solid capital growth, the risk associated with those investments is beyond the required threshold, and in all of the 15 suburbs in Greater Brisbane, only houses are included in our report.”last_img read more
