Barker, who spent nine years on the MPC, was formerly a chief economic adviser at the CBI. Sir Alan Budd, who stepped down from Credit Suisse in May to spend a fleeting stint as the first chairman of the government’s Office for Budget Responsibility, has also rejoined the bank as a senior adviser. last_img
